Crestwood
Crestwood is a completely residential neighbourhood in Northwest Washington, D.C. that is surrounded on three sides by Rock Creek Park. Located north of the White House on 16th Street, Crestwood is one of the first neighbourhoods to feature single-family homes with larger lawns. It has a lot of mature trees, and it's not uncommon to see deer and other wildlife from the park cross the streets. It is part of the "Gold Coast," is an enclave of neighbourhoods in Washington, D.C. known as a haven for affluent African American professionals, and, an important part of the District of Columbia's African American history. The neighborhood has gone through demographic changes throughout its history and continues to do so today.
